Chef Russell's Tips for Leftover Steak

Put the to-go containers in the fridge as soon as you get home. Steak should stay good for 2-3 days, which will give you enough time to decide which leftover recipe you will want to try first.

To reheat steak without overcooking it, take it out of the fridge a half-hour beforehand and let it come to room temperature, then either do a quick flash fry in a frying pan or put it under a broiler for about 2 minutes. Any longer and the meat can end up dry and chewy. I don't recommend reheating in the microwave, but if you must, always make sure to open the to-go container and remove any aluminum foil.
